Belize has a wonderful tropical climate with both wet and dry seasons. Naturally, there will be variations depending on where in the country you are since elevation, coastal nearness, and winds as always effect the weather. If you are inland, the temperature will generally be higher by a few degrees than by the coast. The mountainous regions inland can however be a few degrees cooler. Average temperatures in the Sittee River Village range from 23° C in January to 26° C in July. All in all, the temperature is almost always pleasant. There is however more rainfall during the months between June through October, but tropical rain showers are often short, and often occur during the night. Sometimes you can even set your clock to them since they have the uncanny habit of always coming at the same time every day. The best season to visit Belize in regard to the weather is between November through May.
